Always a good place when you’re craving for some asian taste, but I believe they could have done better with the menu. Also, been here for a couple of time, the noodles were always overcooked 🙁 apart from that, all good
Me and my friends ordered the tama squid balls , the shirodashi ramen and chicken hot pot. IT WAS AMAZING. I think the wagamama here was better than any other wagamama restaurant I've dined at.
Great experience and introduction to Japanese cuisine. The food arrived quickly, the staff members were lovely and helpful. All sides and main dishes were delicious.
Been here with my fiancée as she loves Asian food. The food was amazing, reasonably priced and quite authentic for a chain restaurant. The atmosphere was very relaxed and the service was very prompt with friendly waters. Lucky Buddha was surprisingly good! Definitely recommend 👌🏻
This was our first family's visit to Wagamamas - the kids had been hassling us for ages to go and while we were in Cabot Circus at lunchtime it was perfect timing. We queued for about 15 minutes to get in and seated. The staff who showed us to our seats was friendly and helpful. The waiter took our order - but unfortunately was not particularly engaging or friendly.Drinks arrived quickly. And then the food.. But all our dishes came at different times (25 minutes between the first and last) and the sharing plates came when we were almost finished. The food was great, can't complain about it - but it's not cheap (our bill came to almost £90 for 4 of us) and the sightly disinterested service really kills the vibe. The restaurant was clean and tidy as we're the toilets, but they really need to improve the service.
Good service, we were sited as soon as we arrived. it took some time until our order was taken. 30 minutes until the first nibble came. the mains came a while after. the eggs were more than done (we know from experience that they should be runny). the steak was very hard. the kids plates were watery on the bottom (vegetables not drained properly)...they didn't want to finish their food for the first time. we had to ask for the last main as everyone was already finished when the last one arrived. the shiradashi noodles were very overcook. we understand is busy but the food wasn't to the normal standards as we are used to. maybe next time...
We waited for the lunch rush to be over, and were escorted to the table straight away. Service was quick to take drinks order and offer order of food too. Waiter obviously had a bad shift as arguing with a waitress and had said he hadn’t had a break (presume as it was so busy). Asked for no prawn on pad Thai and came out with it plus one meal missing. Not many staff to get attention. However, food was absolutely delicious and I would recommend as good quality, and staff doing their best on a difficult day. Just shame our meals were not together and the atmosphere wasn’t a little better than arguing staff.
The food as always was superb. The chap who took our order was very pleasant and by far the best. I had the Pad Thai which was delicious. The glass we were given for water wasn’t clean. We asked for another glass & they brought a new one back with tap water. That got sorted too after we complained. However, there is one big problem at Wagamama in Cribbs after they did recent work on the restaurant. There is a huge expanse of floor to ceiling glass (probably 15-20 metres high) at the far end. We went in at 5.30 and the sun is glaring and is right on you. People are moving round the restaurant trying to sit somewhere out of the sun. Everyone is sitting as close to the front of the restaurant as possible. Blinds or some other solution is desperately needed as it’s too bright and uncomfortably hot. When the sun moves round I suspect it’s somewhat better. The area manager needs to sort that out.
We got 4 free tickets for the relaunch, so I brought my partner and my parents with me - none of us have ever been to Wagamama's before so we were unsure what to expect! All I can say is that we thoroughly enjoyed our night out and the food was delicious! The chicken gyoza ramen was perfectly balanced and a very big portion. My mum had a duck dish and asked for less spice which they accommodated which was lovely of them.My dad had a curry which was again very nice apart from the red chillies! As it was a free event the service was a little lacking - but coming from a hospitality background I could see they were all working very hard and were quite literally rushed off their feet so it's understandable but I have to admit if I was paying I would have probably walked out after waiting until after our food arrived to receive our drinks.Only other thing was that it was very noisy in there and seemed to echo, so a bit hard for my parents to have a conversation as they are slightly hard of hearing but the atmosphere was nice and welcoming 😊But I can say that all the staff were very helpful and very friendly and also apologetic when things took slightly longer so they are a credit to the store - I think as it was opening night they were just more stressed!I couldn't finish the whole of mine so I asked for a box and was able to take mine home and my dad's starter only came out as we were leaving so we also took that one home.Desserts were all really nice as well and well presented. But I will definitely be back again soon as the food was amazing and so nice that it is freshly prepared quite literally in front of you.A big shout out to our server - Olivia 😊
