First time coming wagamamas, Harvey and kirsty was so welcoming and helpful when trying to place my order. Giving great detail and recommendations on what’s best to have in relation to my taste and what I was thinking food wise. Thank you for a great service and being super helpful
This is a new Wagamama"s so it's clean and fresh. It is good like all other Wagamama's we have been too and are very pleased there is now one in Northampton
I recently dined at Wagamama Northampton, where I experienced a mixed culinary journey:Service: Exemplary. Throughout my visit, the staff demonstrated attentiveness and professionalism, providing a seamless dining experience.Food: Regrettably, the culinary offerings did not meet expectations. The rice was overcooked, detracting from its intended texture and flavor profile. The Bang Bang Cauliflower, though intriguing in concept, fell short as it arrived burnt and possessed an unpleasant aftertaste reminiscent of lighter fluid. Similarly, the Yasai Katsu lacked depth of flavor, failing to impress compared to its pumpkin counterpart. However, amidst these disappointments, the Ramen stood out as a redeeming dish, showcasing decent execution and flavor complexity.Atmosphere: While the open kitchen concept typically adds to the dining ambiance, the experience was marred by the audible cussing and loud voices of kitchen staff, particularly noticeable from the chef adorned in a green hat. This detracted from the overall ambiance and sophistication of the dining environment.Additionally, I appreciate the proactive approach of the waiter who promptly addressed the issue with the overcooked rice by removing the firecracker dish from the bill.In conclusion, while the service at Wagamama Northampton was commendable, the inconsistencies in culinary execution and the disruption of the dining atmosphere warrant attention.
Usually love Wagamama's, and I have had some great service at this restaurant in the past, however today was quite poor. Had to wait a long time and even then we had to flag down service as no one came to us at any point. Food was good as always.
What a great place, and great food. We were already huge fans, so we were excited when this location opened this past summer. As expected, friendly staff, really friendly staff, in fact, who are also knowledgeable about the food, which is freshly prepared in an open kitchen.
Really enjoyed the food, but as we've never been before, the way they send food out from the kitchen caused some confusion. We were expecting starters, followed by mains, but got one of the sides first, then 15 mins later got our mains, then another 15 mins later got our other side. Quite a disjointed way to send food to a table in my opinion, but other than this, service was good, fairly quick, and the food was delicious! Would definitely go again. Not much of a wait either at around 18:15 on a Monday evening. Little off putting that you can't book a table, meaning you could be waiting a long time to sit, not ideal if your hungry!
Really very disappointing food!! Ordered a Yasai Pad Tai, and mushroom bao buns. The pad tai was missing the red chillis, it had one piece of tofu in there, portion was half a bowl with majority being bean sprout and barely any noodles. It tasted so bland as if there wasn’t any sauce added to it. The bao buns were stone cold too. Called the restaurant within a couple of minutes of receiving the food and they couldn’t send out a corrected meal. Extremely disappointed. Spoke to Christopher Asst GM for the night and he said he couldn’t do anything.
Classic Wagamama, can’t go wrong, staff were very friendly. I believe Shan served us and she was awesome. The steak was a little chewy. But apart from that thumbs up from us, we will be back for sure.
Ramen was great and very tasty.Nice atmosphere and friendly staff.Food is not the cheapest, but it's worth the price. If you don't mind sitting on the bench, you will have a very pleasant time.
