We came here for dinner as the one we have been to before in central Cambridge was shut down. I usually have the Yaki Soba every time so I decided to go for this again. The meal didn’t taste as good as it had before. Lacked flavour and felt like it was rushed. My fiancé ordered two starters which again lacked flavour. We will try Wagamamas again but not from this branch.
Fabulous food! Service reasonable but lacks atmosphere, although we did go early and it was quiet quiet. Would definitely go again for the excellent food. Best Wagamama I've been to for this.
Food contamination. The Salmon dish I ordered had been contaminated with bits of beef, a big chunk of beef was found. The staff was inconsiderate and rude. Few days later manager called, they acknowledge that at Wagamamas there is a risk of food contamination. Avoid Wagamamas if you are scared of food contamination.
They delivered burnt wok fried greens. They werent green they were black not edible, I would send it back if I was at the restaurant. They should be ashamed to send to any customer or any living being. It was a health hazard.
katsu curry tastes like english curry powder in liquid formI'm not from the UK but seriously this is bad, this is not how katsu curry normally tastes.Wait staff were lovely but you need 2x as many. The place needs a clean too. If I want McDonald's quality food and hygiene I would go there. Much cheaper.Thank you staff for putting up with this.
Bad service waited forever for our food then waited even longer before someone could pick up half of our plates almost 20 min for a banana katsu which as I'm writing this were still waiting on it after asking about it to multiple staff... Steak was over cooked noodles over cooked. Worst experience I've ever had in wagamama. Definitely not coming back to this one again.
My friend and I visited this branch last night. We were served by Victoria, and what a fab evening we had! The service was perfect - Victoria was incredibly attentive and friendly. The food came out quickly, and was delicious! We'll definitely be back! Thank you Victoria!
We went after visiting nearby cinema. I had positive juice (£4.80) salmon gyoaz (£7.50 - shared), vegatsu (£13.50) and smoked chocolate cake. All the food was excellent, as was the service (after a 'little local difficulty' that was smoothly resolved.) Many thanks to Mitch and the team who were solicitous but not intrusive- just about 'right'. Hope to go back sometime soon. (The smoked chocolate and ice cream hit just the right sweet note!)
On a busy Saturday evening at 8pm yet the service was still friendly and enthusiastic and the food was quick and delicious.Despite being seated tucked away in a corner our waiter was attentive with advice about the menu, allergens, drinks etc.Been to a few of these branches around and this was my best experience of them yet.
Really nice. Had to wait about 15 to 20 minutes to be seated, be t we were a seating for 7, so expected a wait. Food was great, service was nice. Every type of squid side was amazing, we had them all and wow!
This place was just amazing. I was there with my boyfriend to celebrate and we had one of our best experiences ever. The food was excellent, the service just perfect, and the guy that attended us was super nice.If you go there don't miss the salted caramel cheesecake, which is just AMAZING. Is not the traditional cheesecake, is a combination of ice cream and cheesecake. I really recommend it.And I do not recommend the garlic edamame, this is the main reason why I don't leave 5*. I think they can work more on it, it wasn't good at all, was dry, and without any flavor. We will repeat for sure 🤩
Not as good as it has been previously. Several menu items not available and food not as good. It used to be reliable place to eat but my last two visits have been poor.
Went to eat solo and the small blonde woman(?) Was extremely rude!Honestly? I was made to feel like an old tramp from a night shelter had walked in with a soaking wet dogNever going there again!
Despite being a franchise associated with London's hospitality, the service was surprisingly slow, perhaps due to understaffing during the New Year period. The location, just 160 meters from our hotel, was convenient, but that's where the positives end.Regrettably, the taste of the dishes was far from satisfactory. The ramen noodles lacked flavor, and the broth was disappointingly bland. The gyoza was mediocre at best, and the katsu with curry was a letdown as the overpowering bitterness of the curry masked any semblance of the katsu's taste. Even the yakisoba failed to impress, falling short of expectations. Overall, Wagamama failed to deliver the delightful Japanese and Korean flavors we anticipated, leaving us with a subpar dining experience.
Tried the new hotpot, now my Wagamama favourite. Veggie gyoza were excellent but they lost the 5 Star rating because they removed the carrot and raw Juice from the menu. All new juices seem sirope based and not entirely fresh. BIG DISAPPOINTMENT.
I think it might have just been a bit of a fluke day because I've commonly had a good experience there, but my recent time there wasn't the best, as I specifically asked to not have something in my dish and clearly they didn't listen and added it anyway. It was fine just was a bit miffed by it. Otherwise pretty good!
I came here with a friend, we both ordered our meals at the same time but mine arrived first. My friends ramen took a long time to come. The group next to us who arrived after us received their food before my friend.Eventually the food arrived while I was half way through mine since my friend said I should start before it got cold...but it did anywayThe staff were wonderful though✨
This was my first ever visit to a Wagamama. Yes, I know I must have been living under a rock somewhere. 🪨We were greated by a very friendly member of staff and seated straight away, which considering it was around 6 pm on a Saturday was pretty impressive. After we had got comfortable we were soon asked by a member of the waiting team for our drinks order. As I was driving I went for a High Five fruit juice. While we waited for our drinks we were able to look through the menu and decide what delicacies we were going to choose to eat. Again after not too long a wait a member of the waiting team came to take our food order. All 4 of us ordered both starters and mains. Our drink arrived and my High Five juice was a delicious and refreshing mix of pineapple, apple, orange, lime and lemon juice. If you like these flavours I highly recommend. While we then waited for our food we were able to take in the atmosphere which by its nature was rather loud, busy, fast passed and a little chaotic. The restaurant is essentially laid out like a large canteen. Our food then started to turn up, but the chaotic feeling seemed to continue with the serving of the food. One person's starter would arrive and then next came someone else's main. There was a 10 to 15 minute gap between the first person recieving their starter and the last person receiving their starter, but in-between all of the mains had been brought to the table. Fortunately we had all ordered starters that could also work as sides.Regardless of the chaotic delivery the food was all delicious. I ordered the Korean beef bbq buns and katsu chicken curry with white rice. For both of my dishes the presentation was beautiful, the flavours delicious and most importantly it was very filling.Once we had finished our meals it was time to pay. Now from having eaten out in a group a few times we were all expecting a headache, but the QR code payment method worked a treat and to make it even simpler had a s"Split Bill" option to make each of us paying that bit simpler. My only criticism of the split bill function is that you had to have added up all of the prices for your own items yourself, which was easy enough for myself but I can imagine in some cases could be quite difficult. If there was a way to be able to select which items from the bill you were wanting to pay for when you split it and it then added them for you it would make it much easier and a welcome addition. All in all a delicious meal at a reasonable price, but maybe not the place if you would like a conversation over dinner without having to shout.
