My first and only visit to this restaurant, not worth it really, duck donburi was just sweet when it was supposed to be sweet & spicy. The beef brisket hotpot was greatly disappointing, was told that it was spicy (which in fact it was not) but its probably spicy for those that are not good with heat. In addition, the butternut squash was incorrectly prepared and slightly undercooked. The only good thing was the sakura blossom lemonade.
Japanese food is very very healthy plain and simple ..love Vegitrenian version of sushi .more veggie dishes please . simply love the teriyaki sauce on everything ..simple steamed veg with rice yum .
Just what Merry Hill needs! The decor, lighting and atmosphere in this place is amazing 😍 Food was absolutely incredible. I ordered so much that I had to take some of it home with me. The freshness, taste and flavours are just delicious 😋 Naomi's service was outstanding - good shout on moving us to a bigger table 👏🏼Think this is going to be my regular Waga's. Very well done Wagamama!
New store looks great! Excellent food as usual! Cherry blossom lemonade hit the spot! Service here is amazing, staff are so polite and attentive! 10/10
The food was delicious and the katsu and sides came out in a good timely manner. The service however was a little disappointing. I am a solo diner and the gentleman who asked me for my order said that my order was boring (Katsu curry) and said he could suggest something way better to which i said no thank you i know what i want. I felt a bit shocked at that and he continued to question my order.During the service i was asked if my food was okay about 6 times to which is way too much and also a plate was taken before i finished eating. When i went to order dessert the server was no where to be found and waited about 15-20 minutes to order a dessert. A gentleman who looked like a manager came and asked me if i was okay to which i said i wanted to order dessert and another lady came to help me. She was really lovely and apologetic and it made the service a bit better.I get the place is new and they keep checking if everything is okay but it was too much.I have been since and there was a change in service which was better.
First time having wagamamas and regretted ordering the Noodles I ordered chicken and prawn yaki soba I will return and have a hot pot bowl or ramen I just found it mediocre like a dry home stir fry with not enough veggies ect just chicken poor tasteless small prawn and Noodles it needs something more to give it a boost in my opinion yes there was sesame seeds just it wasn't enough on its own. And a cocktail that was so tiny as pictured, and overpriced it wasn't wow enough to ever order one again from here.
Very nice food as usual from all their restaurants. Staff were super helpful, portion sizes are great, only gave it one less star because they don’t offer any kind of blue light discount/student discount, my 2 year old could’ve done a better egg and the amount of salt on the edamame could’ve filled the Dead Sea. The duck gyozas are a must though, that sauce is incredible.
Apart from the decor, once you been to one you have been to them all. You could argue that the staff will be different but that would be true within the branch anyway.Overall an enjoyable experience but I am not a fan of the bench seating, nor the way a meal can come out in dribs and drabs. Our side dish coming out 5 mins before our mains, so it became a starter. Our waitress was a little lacking, nothing to complain about but the other members who looked after us were far more engaging. What was surprising is the table turn around, when we arrived around 7.00pm there was a couple of minutes wait, when we left at around 8.00pm it was almost empty.
